Relating to the fact that the Costa Rican army was abolished on 1948, it is a peaceful country with a democratic government and relatively strong social, political and economic stability. Costa Rica’s main religion is Roman Catholic. The Costa Rican monetary unit is the “Colon” and the exchange rate from “Colones” to the US dollar is regulated by the Central Bank. You can use US dollars just about everywhere so there is no problem using or paying with US dollars.
